I develop using Vagrant on OS X or Linux. I don't use a proxy, but have limited or unreliable internet access. npm install (in a package directory, no arguments): Install the dependencies in the local nodemodules folder.
I use a proxy when downloading Git repos.
I use a proxy to connect to the npm registry. OTOH, npm update updates all packages to the latest version, but it doesn’t update the package.json file. Then, for each package, run install with the -save flag, e.g. Npm does not update package.json file (I expect in package.json file, the package should be changed to "rtc-quickconnect": "^5.5.1") How can the CLI team reproduce the problem? Run npm outdated to figure out what needs to be updated. Maybe in future the rollup configuration could be even. npm uninstall also removes the package from your package.json, which means subsequent npm install wont install. The npm packages should be frontend packages. npm uninstall mongoose removed 22 packages and audited 1204 packages in 3.311 s found 0 vulnerabilities Those are packages that Mongoose depends on, but no other package depends on, so theyre safe to remove. Remark: this solution may not work for all kind of npm packages. I have version: "rtc-quickconnect": "^5.4.0", If an npm package exists, the middleware is using rollup to create a custom AMD bundle for the npm package which uses the UI5 AMD-like syntax sap.ui.define instead of define. Other ( see below for feature requests): npm install express4.8.0 express4.8.0 added 36 packages from 24 contributors and audited 123 packages in 2.224s found 21 vulnerabilities (8 low, 9 moderate, 4 high) run npm audit fix to. npm is doing something I don't understand.
